One-Day TEFL Taster Course

If you’re completely new to the world of TEFL and still trying to make sense of what it’s all about, a great way to start is with one of our TEFL Tasters. These take place on every other Saturday throughout the year from 9am - 5pm and are open to everybody.

The day is designed as a fun but informative guide to teaching English as a foreign language. It will take you through the different aspects of language teaching as well as giving you an introduction to classroom dynamics.

It’s not only a highly enjoyable day but it also gives you a chance to meet our staff, discover our teaching methods and experience the superb facilities of our Bloomsbury premises. At the same time, it gives you the opportunity to meet other people interested in teaching TEFL, one of the most diverse, interesting and inspiring groups you're likely to meet.

During the day we will cover the following topics:

  • Learning a second language
  • TEFL games and language activities
  • How to teach a new language
  • Understanding teaching and grammar
  • Reading and listening
  • Teaching pronunciation
  • Classroom dynamics
  • Taking it further
